A FREE WORLD (1.4)

Last time I explored the relms of influences in life. What’s scary is realisation and then potential control on your own life, and where you are going, who is there to guide you? Blessing is such one your foundation layers and cards are dealt to whichever way of life on many variations, which is hard to contiplate in our relative modern western world but compared to the majority would appear irregular, but whichever one you’re given perhaps it’s more making the most or best out of a bad situation.
I’ve already discussed in depth, who we are, and what we can actually do, what we become is todays topic of choice. I think in the majority of cases people’s origins – where they come from, dominates. I don’t mean just in terms of personal details like the influences described yesterday, but just the general culture. The vast majority of points I mentioned in the past two blogs are effected by this, because your background or culture dominates many aspects of your ambitions, common goals, behaviour and personality.

New cultures mean; new experiences, new forces, new influences – changing you in the course. Reffering to (1.1) possible opening you, or closing, basically differentiating yourself. I have to say I find it odd, you could be exactly the same person but because of your surrondings you play a totally different role in society. What’s more is that these, different cultures open you to different ways, different ways of doing the same thing, different ways of thinking or approaching. I believe our way in much to just be thrown things, make sense of it, and it’s centered around traditional motivators. Often it’s the manner in which you try to get such things which hints as to where you’ve come from, what you’ll do, who you are. Again really you get what you’ve been given, using the class system in this country examining mini cultures within a larger one. Which class you fall into, usually determines what you think is right or acceptable. Now it’s the lack of choice, and inability to change again, but surely, why can’t you change? Why is it that a common stereotype but yet a stereotype for a reason, that we see it all the time, is that wealthier people have children who then become wealthy people and vice versa, most of the time. Questions the fairness of the education system, equal oppertunites and strengthens the illusion on pre-mind sets installed into people. Drastic difference are present over the smallest of geographical differences, and when looking, what you see is a totally different way of thinking, and so way of doing, living.

You’d think it would be, should be, a level playing field, but it’s not, there is no roundness. You end up with people in a profession they were always told they would be in, it’s just given, there’s not thought or chain of thinking presenting this energy of command in any logical sense. No context, or information leading to a chain of thought giving someone a rounded conclusion they come to in their own heads. It’s the easy, humanic, choice. To except it. It leaves dissatisfaction, it’s just there, taken for granted, and now it’s all about the little things right. A one way culture I don’t believe ever leads to happiness, and western statistics show a stark negative contrast in happiness compared to poorer nations. The nations with that different focus. Overall it really leads to question this journey, this movement. It seems everyone is going somewhere, but what is really in the middle of this direction, I’m thinking the wrong filling. You might ask well, what is the choice? What is a good guide? Is this the real journey
When reflecting to previous posts, I firmly think culture has a large part to play. Culture changes us, effects us, who are we are, and everyway in which we act, limiting choice and so control. The message is really our culture I don’t think works in the right, contributing to this un-free world. It leaves us unhappy and this culture is a negative thing with the wrong things or dare I say focus to it. And I hope I’ve left many questions in your head, for tomorrow’s final piece of the jigsaw.
You might say well knowing this is all well and good, but what is the new direction? Well it’s not so different, but the start of new things and I would never underestimate the power of something when you can insense the depth and thinking of it into a lot of people. Despite what you might think, we are all part of a culture. Ultimately culture is simply a movement of people in one common direction.
